Crete-Nox TA
Concrete Surface Set
Retarder For Exposed
Aggregate Finishes.

Use To Expose
Aggregate On
Horizontal Surfaces
And On Precast
Elements.

Applied immediately after final concrete finishing, CRETE-NOX TA interacts with cement to interrupt the normal hydration process to delay the set on approximately 1/8 inch - 1/4 inch of the top surface.
Once the underlying concrete has fully set and can support workers, the retarded surface matrix can be easily removed to expose the underlying aggregate.

Decorative Exposed Aggregate Surfaces Can Be Produced
Without The Critical Timing Associated With The “Wet Wash” Method And At A Fraction Of The Cost.
True Aggregate Is Exposed, Unlike The Dull Finish Obtained With Abrasive Blasting.
Does Not Discolor Resulting Concrete And Leaves No Residue
Which Could Interfere With The Application Of Sealers Or Other Coatings Or Toppings.
