The small molecular size of the fluoroalkyl silane in Duro-Guard allows it to penetrate deeply into smooth troweled, burnished and polished concrete floor surfaces where it chemically reacts with siliceous containing compounds to form a hydrophobic (repels water and compounds dissolved in water) and oleophobic (repels oil and oil containing compounds) barrier that protects concrete floor surfaces from discoloration, staining and chemical attack.

Duro-Guard is not a surface coating and will not alter the natural appearance or texture of treated concrete floor surfaces.
