250 g/L VOC: PR #80 - 250

Precast Release #80 is a petroleum-based, chemically reactive and physical barrier type form release agent that maximizes the performance of precast forms. When applied properly, Precast Release #80 produces an architectural finish free of staining, bugholes and other defects.

Works hard on SCC (Self-Consolidating Concrete) as well as aggressive mix designs containing high amounts of cement, fly ash, silica fume or high-range water reducers. Furthermore, Precast Release #80 is ideal for use on steel, plastic, fiberglass forms and HDO, PSF and CBF overlaid plywood in precast applications.

Applications

• On steel, plastic, fiberglass and HDO, as well as PSF and CBF overlaid plywood forms in precast applications

• In steam-cured precast concrete applications where, in fact, exceptional results are achieved

• With problematic precast concrete mix designs incorporating high amounts of cement, fly ash, silica fume or high range water reducers

Advantages of this Precast Concrete Form Release Agent

• Greatly minimizes concrete surface voids (bugholes)

• Provides a crisp, positive release

• Uniformly white architectural surfaces are achievable

• Fast drying

• Minimizes form cleaning and maintenance costs and forms eventually become self-cleaning with repeated use

• Contains a rust inhibitor

• Non-staining

• Sprays easily at all temperatures

• Does not impair natural bonding characteristics of subsequently applied paints or other surface coatings

• Low viscosity allows application at very high coverage rates which consequently reduces costs

• Petroleum Based (VOC 450 g/L) – meets federal VOC requirement

• Petroleum Based (VOC 250 g/L) – meets Canadian, OTC and LADCO VOC requirements
